Ensuring that a seismic survey is fully optimized is imperative for the success of any exploration or development project. Our survey design strategy takes a pragmatic approach and combines both geophysical and logistical considerations with innovation and integrated thinking.

RPS’ seismic project coordinators and QC specialists take a pragmatic approach to maximising operational efficiency while minimising risk. We use our Osprey software to generate a visual overview of the project location. And as infield conditions change, coordinators and QC specialists use Osprey’s unique visualisation tools to adjust plans and improve the efficiency of the seismic survey.

RPS delivers seismic technology assessments for marine, land and borehole seismic projects.  RPS is entirely independent of all seismic contractors. Technology assessments are part of our integrated seismic project management services. We understand that seismic technologies are deployed to optimize reservoir management and resource extraction. 4D seismic data is integral to highlighting permeability pathways, identifying reservoir compartmentalization, and locating unproduced oil and gas, and reducing well placement uncertainty.

Decisions that affect the exploration and development, the safety of personnel, operational activities and the natural environment, are often dependent on having complete, correct, consistent and current information of the operating locations and area of interest. Geomatics is the combined discipline of survey and positioning and geospatial data management, providing accurate spatial information and mapping support across the asset life cycle.

Mitigating the risk of sound causing harm to the underwater ecology during seismic activities requires a thorough understanding of how anthropogenic noise propagates in the environment. RPS acoustic specialists provide Sound Source Verification (SSV), also known as Acoustic Field Verification (AFV), modelling for permitting, consents and compliance for offshore activities.
