Surveying for Inland Rail
Expert surveying support for Inland Rail
Inland Rail will provide a high-capacity freight link between Melbourne and Brisbane through regional Australia to better connect major cities and east coast economic hubs. The program consists of 12 sections across regional Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. RPS' Surveying team has provided a range of geospatial services across nine project stages to date.
RPS survey services for Inland Rail have included:

Our team of registered surveyors have prepared and lodged acquisition and subdivision plans with NSW Land Registry Services (LRS), with services ranging from greenfield subdivision and acquisitions to in-corridor acquisitions.
We have also undertaken extensive stakeholder engagement including liaison with Cadastral Railway Authority regarding adjoining rail boundaries, and with Crown Lands for applications for Ad medium Filum Aquae claims and crown road acquisitions.

Our surveyors have played a key role overcoming challenges with landowners and access across many of our engagements on Inland Rail, and directly supported ARTC's community engagement team and local stakeholders. Our Queensland and New South Wales survey teams have delivered work seamlessly while working in remote areas of both states, successfully completing all Inland Rail survey projects without incident, on time, and within budget.
