Regional Rail Revival Program
RPS is supporting the delivery of major rail upgrades in regional Victoria, providing program management and project controls expertise to the Aurecon Mott MacDonald Joint Venture for the $4 billion Regional Rail Revival project.
Connecting regional communities
The Australian and Victorian governments have invested more than $4 billion in the Regional Rail Revival program to upgrade every regional passenger rail line in Victoria.
The investment will cover multiple projects and include the entire design lifecycle from feasibility, concept and reference design through to construction phase support.
RPS has been engaged by the Aurecon Jacobs Mott MacDonald Joint Venture (AJM-JV) as the project control manager and program manager for this vital work.
Project controls for vital transport program success
As the project control manager and program manager, RPS is looking after the planning and delivery of the Regional Rail Revival capital and design programs.
Our work includes developing and implementing processes, program control procedures, and team capabilities, including:
-
Set up of an integrated function to coordinate, track and manage the entire delivery program of major projects into a single master program.
-
Development of integrated delivery plans to define major project and program outcomes, including for short, medium, and long-term resource demand plans.
-
Implementation of a bespoke cost-tracking mechanism to aid AJM-JV track work order and cash flow across the program.
-
Provision of a full suite of program and project management support services (program development, cost management, planning and scheduling commercial, reporting and analytics, process and governance).
The work undertaken by RPS has created clarity and enabled the Regional Rail Revival project to communicate effectively and undertake each program in an integrated and disciplined way.
