Orrin has over 20 years of experience in seismic operations in the western Canadian sedimentary basin. Orrin began his seismic career as a land surveyor in supervisory roles on many 2D, 3D and 4D seismic programs for oil and gas and mining applications. After 12 years in the field, Orrin joined RPS in 2012 in the role of Operations Coordinator. Orrin assumed the role of Geophysical Operations Manager in 2014. During his time at RPS has managed over 3000 sq km’s of 3D/4D and over 1100 linear km of 2D seismic programs safely and efficiently for his clients across Canada.
In addition to his primary commitments, Orrin is active in the seismic industry as a volunteer. Currently, he sits on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Association of Geophysical Contractors, where he helps shape the future of seismic safety and regulatory process in Canada. In addition, Orrin maintains strong relationships with subcontractors, which support the successful delivery of programs in diverse and unique environments.
