Infrastructure
Regional Football Facility, Tarneit
RPS’ Melbourne project management team has supported the delivery of a FIFA-accredited Regional Football Facility at Tarneit that will be the new home of A-League football club, Western United.
RPS supports sports infrastructure delivery
A key growth area for Greater Melbourne, Wyndham City Council is investing strongly in infrastructure and amenities for the local community.
One key investment is a partnership with Western Melbourne Group (WMG) to deliver a 63-hectare sporting, entertainment, business and residential development – Wyndham Stadium Precinct – with a world-class 15,000 capacity football stadium and 5,000 capacity training complex as the centrepiece.
Project management for football facility success
Involved from the project’s earliest phases, our team has managed design and construction of the new facility on behalf of Wyndham City Council, working in close partnership with local stakeholders and development contractors.
Reaching practical completion in February 2024, the facility includes:
· A 5,000 seat main pitch and regional pavilion complex
· A secondary full-size rectangular turf pitch
· A FIFA Pro synthetic pitch
· Complementary infrastructure including road access, carparking, landscaping, servicing and utility connections.

Community and elite sport come together in Wyndham
Now complete, the Regional Football Facility is providing world-class facilities for community and professional sport alike.
The Regional Football Facility will be the training location for the Western United Football Club (WUFC), associated National Premier League (NPL), Women’s Soccer League (WSL), and create pathway development and opportunities for community sporting teams from the local area.
