Digital design is at the heart of the construction industry today. The latest in Building Information Modelling (BIM) technologies are enabling detailed design and international collaboration the likes of which we have never seen before. International standards in digital design illustrate best practices and metrics that projects around the world can strive for. Drawing on international expertise they enable collaboration and knowledge sharing across the industry. Importantly for clients they create transparency and reliability for the quality of service delivery.

ISO 19650 is an international standard for managing information over the whole life cycle of a built asset, using Building Information Modelling. This allows design and construction teams to communicate about design and coordinate information to a level not seen before – utilising a digital model enables real time collaboration on a global scale.

We were delighted to host an exclusive webinar with BRE on BIM Level 2 and the ISO 19650 standard. This exclusive webinar discussed all aspects of the International BIM Standards that are in transition, the requirements, the catalyst for change and gave an in-depth look into the ISO 19650 standard and what is involved. We also provided case studies from RPS projects utilising these best practices. This webinar provided an understanding of the developments that have led to BIM Level 2, as well as providing the context needed to understand why specific elements are included or excluded from this process and various government mandates.
