To achieve a Pier Service Level of 98%, London Gatwick Airport appointed us to provide a new domestic and Common Travel Areas (CTA) product.
This involved the design of a new dedicated passenger route through Pier 1 and into the South Terminal, including a new baggage reclaim and the redevelopment of several areas of the Pier 1. The design encompassed a new coach drop off point and covered walking route, new vertical circulation core, a two-storey domestic reclaim hall and a baggage unload area immediately below and alteration to the existing baggage hall entrance.
