Our client intended to purchase a portfolio of ten sites to enhance their presence across the UK. To inform the purchase, the client required due diligence to be performed on the target to establish if there were any significant environmental, health & safety, environmental permitting or infrastructure issues. If issues were identified the client required cost to cure analysis to support acquisition negotiations.

RPS was required to approach the project with sensitivity as the existing work-force were unaware of the proposed sale and acquisition. In addition, our client was competing against several other bidders which meant the portfolio required expedited review and analysis.Â
RPS mobilised to site to collect as much data as feasibly possible in the agreed timeframe. A specialist team reviewed the data to provide the client with a robust information pack that could be taken forward to the negotiation stage with legal advisors, thereby allowing an informed decision to be made. The information pack also served as a priority list of issues to address post purchase to ensure environmental, regulatory and health & safety compliance
