Challenge
Our client recognised that a step-change was needed to prepare their business for the expectations of the market but they were lacking the in-house expertise for delivery.
Moving forward their strategy needed to focus on reducing risk, identifying opportunities for long-term improvement and aligning interests with their key stakeholders, which included the largest UK supermarket chains.
Solution
Initially, we were engaged to help develop a sustainability / ESG strategic programme, a first for the company.
We were able to bring specialist expertise to the programme of work, using our ESG consultants with a strong track record in the food retail supply chain. Our in-depth experience in this area was instrumental and resulted in gaining a trusted long-term advisory position with the board and senior management.
Our most recent work has included energy and carbon emissions management.
