Challenge
RPS was appointed to assess the condition of the properties from an environmental and health & safety perspective to determine if there were associated environmental risks.
The main challenge was reviewing the significant volume of information, including details on international sites, and compiling this information into Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessments compliant with UK and international standards. This required the review of UK/global regulatory databases to obtain as much environmental data as possible.
Solution
We provided a robust assessment of the information provided, including a H&S summary report for the proposed acquisition company. The information was summarised into a concise report for the client, highlighting possible environmental and H&S liabilities.
