Awarded Australia’s best masterplanned community at the 2020 Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) National Awards for Excellence, Oceanside has fast become the Sunshine Coast’s preeminent residential community, championing liveability, sustainability and affordability.
When complete, Oceanside will be home to more than 15,000 residents, offering low, medium and high density living choices. Providing a full range of lifestyle options in a beach-side location, Oceanside is a significant regional destination for medical and health services, education and retail activities, and a major employment hub for the region.
Oceanside is one of the largest infrastructure projects to be undertaken on the Sunshine Coast, delivering over $350 million worth of key transport and community infrastructure including roads, bridges, parks, and service. Sustainability is a hallmark of the project with more than 50 per cent of the community comprised of parks, conservation areas, wetlands and Lake Kawana.
Long-term partnership
For over a decade, RPS has been supporting our client Stockland with the masterplanning of Oceanside and navigating a range of complex statutory planning requirements and tenure issues.
