Logan Enhancement Project

RPS is assisting Transurban to deliver critical enhancements to South East Queenslandโ€™s motorway network through the Logan Enhancement Project.

Challenge

A $512 million initiative, the Logan Enhancement Project will see sections of the Logan and Gateway motorways widened, and new on and off ramps built to relieve traffic congestion, improve travel time reliability and enhance connectivity for one of Australiaโ€™s fastest growing regions.

The project will also upgrade motorway information technology systems and improve several major state and local authority feeder roads. Not only will the initiative improve road infrastructure for residents, it will also help the State Government unlock new economic opportunities for South East Queensland.

Solution

Drawing on our experience supporting the delivery of region-shaping infrastructure projects all over Australia, RPS has shaped the development of an award-winning market-led procurement approach for the Logan Enhancement Project โ€“ the first of its kind for Queensland.

From industry engagement and market sounding, to the development of business cases and contract packaging, our team has developed the commercial principles and procurement model that will allow the project to be delivered effectively and efficiently.

With the project now under construction, our advisors are helping the Logan Enhancement Projectโ€™s delivery team to accelerate a complex construction program broken down into five interlinked packages of work. Our people are playing a key role in keeping the projectโ€™s budget and schedule on track through oversight of delivery phase procurement and transactions for major works and ancillary support services.
