Legacy Residential, Wirral Waters
As one of the first residential schemes of the wider Wirral Waters development, Legacy Residential is a catalytic, south facing, waterfront housing scheme providing a wide range of accommodation with views across to Liverpool’s iconic skyline.
The project will provide circa 500 residential units for which we provided project management, cost management and employer’s agent services.
Regenerating the dockside
The 500 residential units will be arranged over six blocks, consisting of one tower and five warehouse style new build blocks, accommodating one, two and three- bedroom units. Situated on the dockside, the apartments will have direct access to a new cycle way providing access to the wider masterplan as each phase comes to life.
Legacy is setting the standard for the next twenty years of development, with units designed to help kickstart the transformation of the dockside area and generate a mixed and thriving community. Procured through separate contracts, Legacy involves remediation of the existing site, public realm improvements and an energy centre to serve the new units.

Challenge
Wirral Waters masterplan regenerates a redundant industrial area and Legacy Residential provides one of the initial phases of this masterplan. Initially, the project must make an impact and generate interest in the new area, as well as achieving a tight budget due to the commercial challenges of creating new residential stock in an untested place.
