RPS helps deliver one of western Sydney’s newest communities on a 223 hectare former defence site.

Challenge

Located in the west of Sydney, 53km from the central business district, Jordan Springs is a vibrant urban lifestyle precinct with an impressive 2438 homes over 223 hectares.

An extensive site in size and scale, the Jordan Springs development presented the unique challenges of multiple concurrent development stages, adjoining properties impacting the development, and onsite unexploded ordnance hazards as the land was previously utilised by the defence force.

Solution

Initially we were engaged to prepare the Jordan Springs site for development, providing cadastral subdivision surveying, plan and titling advice, construction surveying, third party reviews, and road acquisitions.

Following this successful work, our expert team was reengaged for mapping, planning and surveying services to support the ongoing, staged development of the site.

Given the significant size and complexity of the project, our team’s careful planning was pivotal to the success of the project, drawing on our extensive experience delivering property development projects.

In supporting the delivery of this vibrant community we:

  • consulted with authorities and adjoining landowners to deliver complex boundary adjustment solutions with the adjoining community;
  • undertook aerial survey to gather information for large scale earthwork surveys, lot fill plans and stockpile volume; and
  • addressed unexploded ordnance hazards through survey work.

Our survey team is continuing to help deliver essential community infrastructure for Jordan Springs, including public reserves and road upgrades.
