The Dubai Coastal Zone Monitoring and Forecasting system integrates an operational forecasting system with real-time observations to provide a comprehensive picture of conditions in the Dubai coastal zone. The forecasting system couples a suite of atmospheric and ocean models with a robust data management infrastructure and web-based information tools. The system was developed to deliver data in support of evidence-based decision making for a variety of stakeholder groups including beach-goers, recreational boaters, fishermen, developers, navigation companies, and marine transportation operators.
