At RPS we work as one team to achieve exceptional outcomes, and joining the Graduate Scheme is no different. From early on in your career you’ll have exposure to sustainable projects, experience true support and encouragement and be trusted to work in a way that’s right for you.
We encourage and value different ideas, perspectives, and styles of thinking. We believe diversity in skills and experience fosters innovation, enables us to push boundaries and solve problems that matter.
We're looking for people who turn challenges into opportunities, those who are keen to learn and develop, and intelligent risk takers who are not scared to try new things. If that sounds like you, we have opportunities across the UK and Ireland spanning design, health safety and risk, water, project management, planning and environmental disciplines.
At RPS you’ll be supported by some of the brightest minds in the industry. Here you can build the foundations of your career by developing skills, knowledge and behaviours; building experience and achievements into real expertise.
The Graduate Scheme provides a structured programme of processes, support and training packages. Our training supports the core competencies of technical charterships and we're also an accredited training provider for the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
Beyond the programme we offer progression opportunities to the highest level professional qualifications and charterships (master’s Level 7) in both technical disciplines and in leadership & management. We prioritise our people and their progression, and we're committed to supporting you as far as you want to go.
We are recruiting across our Consulting business and have multiple opportunities across disciplines and locations. Click here to search all graduate opportunities.
Please only make one graduate application for the opportunity that is best suited to you. We only accept one application from each candidate per graduate intake, however, you’ll have the option to select multiple locations depending on the opportunities we have available. Please make sure you read the job description attached to each role so you can make sure you have selected the right role for you.
Before making your application, please ensure you meet the minimum entry requirements by checking the job description.
As well as the right qualifications and skillsets, we also look for candidates who demonstrate RPS' values and a passion to improve environments and communities. We look for confident, numerate and analytical team players with first-class communication skills, positive attitudes, and the drive and determination to succeed.
We're always looking for exceptional people in a range of fields across our areas of expertise.
We do have the option to offer sponsorship under Skilled Worker Visas. This means we can sponsor candidates who don’t currently have the right to work in the UK but possess a valid Student visa or Graduate Visa. We're also able to support candidates with pre-settled or settled status.

In brief our application process follows these steps:
If your application is successful, our Talent Acquisition Team will contact you to seek further information about your skills and experience. If you meet the requirements for the position, you will be invited to our Assessment Centre which includes an interview. If you are successful, we will offer you a position with us.
As part of the selection process, it's mandatory to upload a covering letter as we will not process your application without one. In your covering letter we would like to know why you are interested in RPS, the discipline you are applying for and a little about you.
Our closing date for graduate applications is January 3rd 2023. But please note we may close earlier if we have a very high volume of applications. We recommend submitting your application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Please contact recruitment.consulting@rpsgroup.com and let us know if you are experiencing any issues. Please attach any screen shots that may help resolve the issue.
The assessment centre will be an opportunity to spend time with your recruiter and other applicants being considered for the role. This is your chance to show us your best in a series of activities as well as an opportunity for you to learn more about RPS.
As part of the assessment centre, you'll have an interview where you’ll meet some of the team you could be working with. This interview is an opportunity for you to showcase your relevant skills and suitability for the role, but also to ask any questions on how the team work and what to expect in the role day to day.
We’ll let you know as soon as possible if you’ve been successful in securing a position.
Assessments centres are likely to take place between February and March 2023, however, some dates may vary depending on the role you've applied for. You'll be kept informed by the Talent Acquisition Team and guidance will be provided throughout the process.
You'll be able to log in to our candidate portal and review your profile to see your application status. You will also receive email updates regarding your application as it progresses through the selection stages.
Being a Disability Confident committed employer, we provide reasonable adjustments to enable you to demonstrate your full potential throughout our recruitment process. Please let us know as soon as possible about any adjustments you require so that we can put them in place at the right time. Or if you have a specific question relating to disability, please speak to us on recruitment.consulting@rpsgroup.com to discuss this in confidence.
GOOD LUCK!
