GaiaTech Holdings, Inc., a leading provider of environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, site investigation, remediation, process optimisation and facilities management services joined RPS Group on 21st May.
Since 1993, GaiaTech has built its reputation on the delivery of comprehensive environmental risk management. The company primarily works for the private sector, combining technical capabilities with business sensibility to maintain the strategic interests of clients while protecting the environment and human health. The acquisition not only enlarges RPS' geographic presence in the environmental consulting sector in the US, but substantially enhances its overall capability by adding high-end due diligence expertise to the Group’s US service offering. Its staff of over eighty professional engineers, geologists, scientists and technical support personnel throughout the US skillfully translates environmental and facility problems directly into financial terms and bottom-line gains.
The company has developed national brand recognition for delivering expert professional advice in the following areas:
- Providing risk-based environmental due diligence and transaction advisory services to strategic buyers and Private Equity investors by evaluating and quantifying economic impacts of known and potential environmental risks in the context of transactions.
- Assisting in the negotiation of post-close corrective measures including the resolution of compliance actions including; air emissions reporting services and air permitting assistance, environmental management plan development, and training or remediation initiatives.
- Providing technical training for facility personnel while evaluating the “upside” potential for cost reduction and process efficiency alternatives.
Phil Newton and the GaiaTech management team, along with all current staff, will remain with the business, which will continue to operate from its existing office locations in Chicago, Atlanta and Dallas.
