Supporting Scottish Water

The Framework Agreements have been awarded to coincide with Scottish Water’s Quality and Standards 3B investment programme which runs from 2010 to 2015. The frameworks will run for up to four years.

Under the Technical Design Framework a number of exciting projects are already underway. They include:-

• Mains rehabilitation design of over 1,000 km of water infrastructure in Ayrshire.
• Supporting Scottish Water’s goal of reducing the number of Unplanned Interruption to Supplies (UITS) to customers, a key regulatory target.
• Design, development and implementation of a hydro-generation scheme which reduces pressure, generates energy and reduces carbon footprint.

Under a separate agreement, RPS already supports Scottish Water in achieving its leakage delivery targets and provides the leakage reporting software to monitor and manage leakage levels across the country.

RPS has continuously worked in partnership with Scottish Water since it was formed in 2001 and these new frameworks build on a strong and successful working relationship developed with Scottish Water and its predecessors over many years.
