RPS marks Remembrance Day with new Legacy Australia partnership

This Remembrance Day, RPS has established a new partnership with Legacy—a charity that provides services to Australian families suffering after the injury or death of a spouse or parent, during or after their defence force service.
The partnership is an expansion of our existing support for Legacy and will feature a co-designed mentoring program that sees Legacy beneficiaries matched with RPS volunteers who will offer career coaching and leadership development support.
The business will also contribute to Legacy fundraising appeals and events with RPS leaders coordinating local activities and maximising the value generated for Legacy across each state and territory.
‘RPS’ history is deeply intertwined with Australian Defence and its personnel,’ said RPS Chief Executive Officer for Australia Asia Pacific, Ross Thompson.
‘Our Australian project management offering was established by consultants who had served—professionals with a vision to support Defence projects through consultant services that are uniquely attuned to the structures, process and needs of the sector.
‘The Department of Defence is still one of our biggest clients here in Australia, and many ex-Defence personnel have become part of the RPS family following their time in the military. This partnership is a great way for RPS to give back to the community and provide positive, practical support that helps families thrive,’ he said.
Legacy Australia CEO, Scott Warr, said having the support of organisations that understand the challenges that Defence families face is as important today as it was when Legacy was established back in the 1920s.
‘RPS is a place where ex-service personnel build highly successful careers. It’s clear that RPS people value the relationships and connections they share with colleagues and friends in the Australian Air Force, Army and Navy.
‘This expanded partnership will allow Legacy beneficiaries to connect with RPS volunteers who can advise and guide them on their career path.
‘We’re looking forward to working with RPS in an even greater capacity and creating a supportive mentoring community that makes a positive difference for Legacy families,’ Mr Warr said.
