RPS Health, Safety & Risk Awarded RoSPA Gold Award
26 July 2018 | 2 min read
RPS Health, Safety & Risk has been awarded a RoSPA Gold Award.
The awards are non-competitive and are based on the organisation's individual occupational health and safety performance assessed against the judging criteria. Entrants must provide evidence of a good health and safety management system by answering key performance questions and supporting the answers with relevant documentation.
The RoSPA Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. The award is recognition of our practices and achievements in helping our staff and clients get home safely at the end of the working day.
‘This award demonstrates that behind our strong business we have a high level of H&S performance, with good safety management systems, culture, and proactive control of H&S risk’ says Jonathan Marsh, RPS Chief Operating Officer ‘We have reached the top level of the awards and can now only go higher with consistent annual performance.’
Achievement Awards are made at the following levels:
- Merit
- Bronze
- Silver
- Gold
- Gold Medal (5-9 consecutive Gold Awards)
- President's Award (10-14 consecutive Gold Awards)
- Order of Distinction (15+ consecutive Gold Awards)
- Patron's Award (25+ consecutive Gold Awards)
RoSPA Gold Award winners have achieved a very high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss.
The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards are internationally-renowned and the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK. Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards are the most highly-respected in the health and safety arena, with almost 1,100 entrants every year, and allow organisations to prove excellence in the workplace, demonstrating a commitment to the wellbeing of not only employees but all those who interact with it.”
Special thanks to Stuart Barnard and Brett Durden in their formulation of the award submission.
This is a further recognition of RPS’ level of excellence in our health and safety management. Our Design & Development team achieved Gold last year, and our Planning & Environment team has achieved Gold previously.
