RPS has ‘ambitious’ emissions reduction targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative

07 Mar 2022

We are very pleased to share that our carbon reduction targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

Our official targets have been published here:

“RPS commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 63% by 2034 from a 2019 base year. RPS also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, capital goods, fuel and energy related activities, business travel and employee commuting 63% within the same timeframe”.

A low carbon, sustainable future, is a global priority. As a business built on a legacy of environmental and social engagement, we understand the complexity and how to solve it. Reducing carbon is a fiendishly complex problem and it matters that we get this right. We will need to bring our very best skills to bear on the challenge and we are well equipped to deliver on our commitment.
