RPS attends Ireland’s second annual Wind Energy Trade Show

We were pleased to attend the second annual Wind Energy Ireland trade show, which took place in the RDS, Dublin on the 6th and  7th November. The event brought together the key players in the global renewable energy supply chain with the Irish leaders, businesses and innovators that are driving our own energy transformation. 

Our experts from across Ireland and the UK in areas such as Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) coordination, planning, project communications, ornithology, bats, seascaping, marine mammals and acoustics were fielding questions throughout the event, sharing our expertise across all areas of onshore and offshore wind. 

The event was a great opportunity to network with over 1,000 delegates who attended from across Ireland, Europe and further afield, all looking to work together to build the industry that will lead Ireland’s response to the climate emergency and realise our energy independence. 

It was also a pleasure to be in attendance as the event was Minister Eamon Ryan’s last public engagement as Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications of Ireland. He outlined his vision for a series of annual auctions in the offshore sector, following the auction for the Tonn Nua site off the coast of Waterford, scheduled to take place in early 2025. 

Thanks to everybody we got the chance to chat to at our stand across the two days. It proved to be a highly engaging event and one we look forward to attending again next year.
