Planning consent for Alumno's Whitelock Street, Leeds

02 Dec 2020

We are delighted to announce that planning consent has been granted for Alumno to develop Whitelock Street in Leeds, a 411-bed student accommodation scheme set to regenerate a disused site.

We are supporting Alumno to deliver a mixed-use six and seven-storey building that will provide accommodation for the city’s growing student population. The new 128,700ft²  project on Whitelock Street will regenerate the current run-down, disused site and comprise 105 units providing a home for 411 students.

Facilities will include a range of communal areas, including a central hub, gym, cinema, laundry room, roof terrace with a garden and extensive secure bicycle storage. The Ground floor will feature a flexible gallery and studio space, which will be managed by local award-winning non-profit organisation East St Arts.

Following a successful planning application, we are looking forward to working with Alumno during the next stage of design. Providing our project management, cost consultancy and principal designer services, we'll lead the procurement of the Contractor and facilitate a fantastic new student accommodation hub for Leeds.
