Anjum Mehmood is studying for an MA in Urban Design, and has been awarded a prize for the Most Improved MA Urban Design Student. Anjum explains: "I will now be able to work on urban design projects as well as architecture projects with increased confidence. Urban design is an ever-increasing important element of the planning process and opportunities for regeneration-led projects are on the increase. One of the advantages of working for RPS is that we are encouraged to enhance our professional expertise. I am very pleased with the continual support given to me by RPS and also a great deal of design guidance by my colleagues in completing my projects."
Adrian and Anjum were awarded their prizes at the End of Year Show at Birmingham’s School of Architecture.
RPS has a strong track record of encouraging staff to undertake further education and advance their professional development. Like many RPS design offices, Wolverhampton has a high percentage of staff - over 15% - currently attending local colleges or universities on a part-time basis.
