We are delighted to announce the recent achievements of our UK & Ireland Consulting team in Scotland: the appointment of Iain Scott as Director, Scotland, and our success in securing a place on the Transport Scotland Framework.
Earlier this year, we appointed Iain Scott as Director, Scotland, to grow our multi-disciplinary service offering and build on the fantastic strides that we have made across Scotland.
Iain commented: “I’m delighted to be joining RPS and building on the existing company experiences within Scotland, and cross-selling a range of different services. This is an exciting new challenge and I’m looking forward to working in a company with a clear strategy that is built around its people. I am also excited to work with new colleagues and reacquainting myself with many existing and new clients.”
With over 30 years’ experience in the public and private sectors across the UK and Ireland, Iain will be working closely with the team to build a stronger presence and grow the turnover in the country. He will also be an integral part of the formation of the UK and Ireland Transportation Board to align offerings across RPS to future market opportunities in the planning, environmental and water businesses already in place.
Iain’s previous roles have included Board Director and Director of Transportation for Sweco UK (formerly Grontmij), with legal and governance compliance responsibilities for the business with a turnover of over £70 million and 850 staff.
Commenting on his appointment, Michael Shaw, Managing Director, Consulting UK & Ireland, said: “Iain is joining RPS at a great time for the business in a key area of growth for Scotland. We welcome his appointment where our focus is a continuation of developing and strengthening our multi-disciplinary offering in this region, whilst also acknowledging and safeguarding the progress we have made over several decades.”
We’re also thrilled to announce that we have recently secured a place on the Transport Scotland Framework for ‘Roads based Transportation Multi-disciplinary Consultancy Services 2021-2025’.
This is an exciting time for us as we continue to grow our multi-disciplinary services across Scotland and build on existing framework successes, including Scotland Excel and several other Scottish Local Authority frameworks where we are providing a range of consultancy services. We are also looking forward to supporting the strategic growth within the renewables infrastructure market across the wider segments of RPS.
Welcome Iain, and congratulations to our Scotland Consulting team.
