Northern Ireland Region Director Professor Don McQuillan has moved up to the role of Senior Vice-President of the Institution of Structural Engineers and next year (2020) will become the 100th President; only the second from Northern Ireland.
IStructE has over 27,000 members in over 100 countries around the world and is the only qualifying body globally concerned solely with the theory and practice of structural engineering. It is the internationally recognised source of expertise and information concerning all issues that involve structural engineering and public safety within the built environment. Commenting, Don said “This is not only great news for Northern Ireland but it also raises RPS’ profile on the global stage.”
Our Belfast office is a UK leading service provider for Structural Engineering, delivering many iconic, landmark and award-winning projects over the years including the Waterfront Concert Hall, the Odyssey, and Titanic Belfast.
Don is also currently a Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor at Queen’s University Belfast.
