Green light for two solar farms

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve secured planning permission for two solar farm projects; Middlefield in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham for Lightsource bp and Tuckey in Winslow, Buckinghamshire for Elgin Energy.
Each solar farm will generate enough power for over 7,000 homes, avoiding thousands of tonnes of future carbon emissions.
For both projects we provided planning and environmental consultancy services; the planning statement and environmental assessments for landscape impact, heritage, transport, arboriculture, flood risk and surface water drainage strategy.
By addressing the challenges of the sites’ visual impact on the area, managing surface water drainage and developing the greenfield sites, our team were able to prove that the benefits of the solar farms significantly outweighed the limited, localised and temporary harms.
