Further Success at Stratford City

Following this success, the London office has advised on a number of other developments on the periphery of the site and last summer, secured planning consent for the Unite Group Plc for a student accommodation development on a site adjacent to the Westfield Shopping Centre and Queen Elizabeth Park.
The proposal comprised 1,000 student purpose built beds and once built, will be a landmark building within the overall setting. The London Office helped co-ordinate the application and ensured that it met the aspirations of the London Borough of Newham, the Greater London Authority and the London Legacy Development Corporation.
RPS was retained to work on another project for the Unite Group Plc on a strategic site known as Angel Lane adjacent to Stratford Regional Station, which comprised three development plots. In November, they submitted a planning application for a mixed use development comprising 750 student purpose-built bedrooms.
This is the first development block to come forward on this site and they are confident that approval will be given in the coming months. In addition, they are well set to secure further work for the remaining development plots (hotel and residential) that will come forward for development in 2013.
