Creating a framework to support Yalari’s growth

05 Aug 2022

If you were adding additional storeys to your house, you’d need the right tools and expertise to make sure the extension was a success.

Likewise, if an organisation wants to expand and offer new programs and services, it also needs resources and experience to support that growth.

That’s why RPS is helping long-term charity partner, Yalari. Our project managers are working with Yalari’s team to put in place the systems, processes and documentation to support the not-for-profit to expand its offering to help even more First Nations students to excel.

Since 2005, Yalari has been giving First Nations youth across Australia fully funded scholarships at elite boarding schools for the entirety of their secondary education. The vision: that education is key to generational change and brighter futures.

Yalari’s team is busy delivering its current programs, but there’s a long list of projects the organisation would like to implement.

RPS Project Manager Nicole Elliott is working with Yalari and said she understands the organisation’s predicament. “I have worked in the non-profit sector and understand just how tight resources can be.

“Creating a user-friendly framework will allow the Yalari management team to prioritise, resource and schedule projects while maintaining business as usual. It will assist the organisation to build its offerings and achieve its goals of expanding programs and services, increasing efficiency and improving data management.”

Yalari’s Chief Finance and Operating Officer, Nathan Carger said the team is grateful for RPS’ support. “We are incredibly proud of the relationship we have with RPS. The support we have received has been diverse and rewarding coming from different states, through volunteering at our fundraising events, tutoring students, skilled volunteering and of course financial support.

“In 2022 we have over 220 students at 20 partner schools across the country and have an ever-growing number of educated and empowered Alumni, nearly 450.

“We have been investigating how we can improve and expand the support programs for our students and alumni and realised that we might need some help to support that growth. With the help from Nicole and the team at RPS we are confident that the systems and processes we implement will help us deliver.”

RPS has partnered with Yalari since 2018. We look forward to seeing the organisation succeed in its vision to expand and offer additional programs.
