Raef is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 34 years' experience in the design, supervision, and management of mechanical building engineering services. He worked in the Middle East for over 12 years at leading consultancies, promoting best practices in energy-efficient and cost-effective building services.
He has delivered many public and private sector projects, including industrial, commercial, healthcare, and educational buildings, demonstrating strong leadership skills and technical expertise suited for complex, large-scale projects.
Raef served as Chair of the CIBSE United Arab Emirates Region from 2017 to 2018 and is an advocate for widening the technical knowledge exchange between CIBSE and local authorities, institutions and organisations.
