Kurt Blackman

With more than 15 years of experience as a scientist and environmental consultant, Kurt Blackman heads up RPS’ contaminated sites team in Perth. As principal scientist, he devises sampling and analysis plans, detailed site investigations, site management plans, remediation plans and validation reporting. Kurt’s technical skills cover hazardous materials, acid sulfate soils, and environmental contamination assessments of soil, groundwater and wastewater. He developed WA’s first regulator-endorsed management plan for the reuse of PFAS-impacted soil and has developed a risk-based approach to rank priority site assessments.
