Dorney is a Senior Environmental and Social Program Manager, skilled at providing environmental and social risk assessment for public agencies, Lenders and private clients. She has helped clients to successfully measure environmental and social risks and impacts, and to navigate the challenges of environmental and social clearance for projects of regional, national and international significance for over twenty years. She has worked extensively in the developing world and specialises in social impact assessment with a focus on equity, land acquisition and resettlement, gender, and livelihood restoration impacts.
Dorney has worked with numerous clients to help ensure that the World Bank Group/International Finance Corporation’s (WBG/IFC) Performance Standards on Social and Environmental Sustainability are adequately addressed. She has a Master’s Degree in International Environmental Policy and extensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) experience. She speaks Spanish and French in addition to English. Her international experience includes working on energy projects in Ethiopia, South Korea, Turkey, Lithuania, Comoros, Dominica, Senegal, Chad, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Indonesia and the Philippines. She has a Masters’ Degree in International Environmental Policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
Dorney is based in the US and joined Tetra Tech in January 2024. She has over 30 years of experience and has worked on many high-profile major infrastructure projects such as NEOM, the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) Natural Gas Pipeline, and multiple geothermal projects across the globe. Her recent experience includes leading environmental and social impact analysis teams for offshore wind, natural gas and solar projects in Africa, Europe and Asia.
