With the publication of the new Approved Document O, controlling overheating is now a building regulation requirement. The simplest and most sustainable method of avoiding overheating is to open a window, but this can result in adverse noise impacts. This presentation will explain the relationship between noise and overheating and the constraints that the new regulations will place on residential development.
