RPS team members come from a wide range of backgrounds, nationalities and ethnicities. RPS is now part of Tetra Tech, a leading provider of consulting and engineering services and home to 27,000 talented and diverse people, spread across 550 offices worldwide. As we progress towards achieving our DE&I targets, we aim to contribute further than we already do and are steadfastly committed to actively pursuing and attaining these goals. Our people are undeniably our greatest asset and have always been the key to our success. We are committed to a fair, inclusive, and respectful workplace that empowers everyone within our business to thrive and deliver their best work, and where all employees feel they belong and can bring their whole self to work.
Enhance our inclusive culture
- We are committed to allocating resource to our DE&I activities via our support functions and operational representatives and championing an inclusive culture via our Steering Group and leadership teams.
- We will prioritise and continue to develop an inclusive culture and reflect this in our workspaces, our language, and our communication, to build an environment where our people can be their authentic selves to deliver their best work and grow their careers.
- We will continue to facilitate and grow our Alliance Groups to inform our overall approach to the implementation and further development of our DE&I Strategy.
- We will continue to develop and extend partnerships with clients, professional bodies and leading voices in DE&I to progress the initiatives within our strategy and explore further opportunities to engage in activities that support the development of our industry and communities.
- We are committed to collaborating with Tetra Tech to leverage our DE&I objectives, creating common visuals and language to best communicate our activity both internally and externally.
Nurture and grow a representative workforce
- We are committed to creating an organisation that more accurately reflects the clients and communities we serve.
- We will continue to review our hiring process and implement training and education to ensure all hiring and selection decisions are based on skills, abilities, experience, behaviour and potential.
- We will continually challenge ourselves to welcome diverse perspectives, treat people consistently, and provide opportunities for all.
- We will actively seek underrepresented talent via recruitment campaigns, EVP and external partnerships particularly focusing on early careers and Senior hiring.
- We will actively encourage and support unrepresented groups through mentorship and succession planning.
- We will review people policies and process to ensure they support DE&I principles and improve our capture of key demographic and survey data to support the measurement of our initiatives.
Develop DE&I training & awareness
- We will continue to create and deliver a regular and varied programme of awareness sessions, aligned with our commitments and business priorities and where relevant linked to external and/or internal campaigns.
- We will develop and provide access to a range of internal and external resources to build employee awareness of DE&I.
- We will prioritise DE&I training for our senior management to empower our leaders to leverage the business benefit of diverse perspectives, embed our behaviours and be visible role models.
Our alliance groups
Employee-led and open to everyone, our Alliance Groups provide peer support, promote engagement in DE&I issues in our workforce; advise our business on issues of policy and process from their unique perspective; and create an effective way to better understand the communities we serve.
Our alliance groups are encouraged to build connections to Tetra Tech Global Employee Resource groups to share resource, ideas and network.
