About the Certificate

With experience delivering community and stakeholder engagement programs for some of Australia’s most complex infrastructure projects, RPS uses the principles of IAP2’s Public Participation Spectrum to shape positive outcomes for our clients and the community.

We’re proud to deliver the IAP2 Australasia Certificate in Engagement, tailored to the unique needs of the infrastructure sector and led by licensed IAP2 trainer and RPS Executive Advisor, Lucy Cole-Edelstein. This course will be hosted in Melbourne.

Designed to meet your needs, participants can sign up to complete the entire Certificate or develop your capability through single, skill-building courses.

About the IAP2 Australasia Certificate in Engagement

Released in 2014, the Certificate in Engagement was developed to bring an Australian and New Zealand context to community and stakeholder engagement training. It’s fast becoming the standard for employers recruiting staff to manage community and stakeholder engagement programs.

Founded in existing practice yet incorporating the latest concepts and tools, the Certificate will support all levels of experience and learning across multiple sectors.

The training is suitable for participants from all tiers of government, social services and health agencies, infrastructure organisations, engineers and planners, community and member organisations, and any organisation or person that needs to engage with others.

Course Outline

RPS will deliver the suite of courses that contribute to the full Certificate in Engagement, with a focus on the needs of a modern infrastructure sector.

Lucy Cole-Edelstein
Executive Advisor - RPS Group and Licenced IAP2 Australasia Trainer

Lucy is an industry leader in community engagement and facilitation with over 30 years of training experience. She brings unparalleled hands-on experience in engagement in the transport and infrastructure sectors, as well as deep strategic planning and policy development expertise.

Lucy has worked in government, not-for-profit and the private sector and offers students the opportunity to explore innovative solutions to robust planning for effective community engagement.

Training is one of Lucy’s favourite professional activities and she enjoys imparting her expertise from working within the highest levels of government and consulting to the grassroots management of community outrage. Lucy brings energy, enthusiasm and a sense of fun, while focused on delivering practical skills to drive successful outcomes
