The Chemical Industry Association (CIA) awards the premier accolade to recognise the contribution made by a key provider of services. We were praised for our ongoing commitment, thought leadership, improved standards and provision of process safety services.
The CIA acknowledged our key role as a Technical Committee Member in the development of a new British Standard on Fire and Gas Detector Mapping. The standard will be crucial for the chemical sector in helping clients identify any issues and how they should be addressed - bringing consistency and guidance to fire and gas detector mapping.
In addition, and in the midst of the ongoing pandemic, our assistance and support during the creation of the Nightingale hospitals was highlighted in the award win. Our building services are linked to the Chemical Sector, demonstrating the huge range of skills held by CIA member companies, and the profound impact this has on operating companies and the wider society.
Our work on the Nightingale hospitals further demonstrated the outstanding proactive planning and consultation we continue to take, in what is still a crucial time for the country.
Leading the congratulations, Operational Director Carl Gaskell comments: “This is an outstanding achievement and I want to congratulate and applaud the RPS team. We have become a valued part of the Chemical and Pharmaceutical service provider supply chain, and have shown huge leadership in helping the sectors be safer whilst reducing their potential impact on the environment.
“Our innovation and delivery of services for clients within the last year as a business has been exceptional. It’s fantastic to be recognised by the esteemed CIA awards. It really does prove we’re working as hard as possible with clients, for our clients, across a broad range of services. A job very well done.”
