Held at the National Press Club in Canberra and delivered by DefenceWatch in partnership with RPS, ServiceNow, and Ventia, ‘Meet the Chiefs’ was an opportunity for organisations involved in the planning, design and delivery of defence programs and infrastructure to discuss E&IG’s priorities and challenges for 2021, and beyond.
Featuring a presentation and panel discussion with Deputy Secretary – Estate and Infrastructure, Steve Grzeskowiak, First Assistant Secretary – Service Delivery, Monique Hamilton, and First Assistant Secretary – Infrastructure, Adrian Hudson, Meet the Chiefs covered a range of topics including Defence’s transformation strategy, investment and funding to support infrastructure and operational objectives, sustainability initiatives for waste reduction and renewable energy, and much more.
“RPS is deeply engaged with Defence people and projects, with around $6 billion of Department initiatives and programs under management in 2021. Our support ranges from environmental programs to the delivery of new base infrastructure and administration facilities, and strategic investments in new capability,” said RPS Executive Director for Project Management and Defence client lead, Michael Owens.
“Meet the Chiefs was an incredible opportunity to hear what Defence leaders are prioritising, and how we—as members of Australia’s defence industry–can support the Department to deliver its strategic objectives, protect Australia’s national interests, and enhance security in the Asia Pacific region.”
