Acquisition of Ark Occupational Health
10 January 2013 | 1 min read
RPS acquired Ark Occupational Health yesterday (9/01/13) which has two clinics in Aberdeen.
Ark immediately becomes part of RPS Group Plc and will compliment and enhance the existing Occupational Health services provided by RPS.
The range of quality services offered by Ark along with its central Aberdeen location and satellite clinic will expand RPS’s existing local facilities and service capability to the Oil & Gas sector.
Ark has a well established business that has been operating successfully servicing the Oil & Gas markets for a number of years. Ark brings additional expertise for healthcare in this market such as off-shore medicals and as a registered Yellow Fever centre for vaccination and travel service.
Ark is a very good fit with the Health, Safety & Environment Division, and offers excellent opportunities to support our existing relationships in the region and for development and growth in the oil and gas sector.
With immediate effect, Ark will operate as RPS. Martyn Anthony, as Divisional Director for the existing RPS Occupational Health business, will be responsible for the ongoing management and integration of Ark. Our new Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Liz Wright will lead the clinical teams supported by our Medical Director Dr. Ray Quinlan.
