Stuart is a Chartered Environmentalist and a Chartered Scientist with over 15 years’ experience in the energy sector, 12 or which having been spent in environmental consultancy providing support to clients in gaining and complying with all necessary environmental consents. Stuart has a wealth of experience in project management within the energy sector, both in the UK and internationally.
Stuart has been the project manager for numerous offshore oil and gas seismic and drilling exploration projects, managing projects from conception to delivery and onward in some case via client support through their HSE management systems.
Internationally, Stuart has been the in-country project manager for on and offshore exploration permitting and ESIA projects in Greece, Malawi, Ghana, The Gambia, Kurdistan, Kenya, Algeria, Yemen and The Falklands. Through this experience, Stuart is well versed in managing subcontractors, stakeholder engagement and interaction with regulators and NGOs. In addition to his project management experience, Stuart has extensive experience relating to Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems (HSE MS), ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification Standards and oil spill response planning. He is also an LRQA trained lead HSE auditor, OSRL certified oil spill advisor and is an HSE part IV qualified commercial diver.
