Gary has more than 30 years of experience as a professional urban planner and policy advisor working in government, community and private sector settings in the UK and Australia. During his career, he has been a development manager, strategic urban planner, social planner, community development officer, economist, public policy and strategy advisor, and social housing renewal specialist. He has written several papers on the Olympic and Paralympic Games and worked on the planning of the Sydney 2000 and London 2012 Games.
