Ed is an associate director at RPS, in our advisory business unit for the energy sector. He brings over 35 years of oil and gas experience from working in both technical and commercial functions. He has a strong technical background and detailed expertise in petroleum economics and commercial negotiations, from a career with major oil companies and smaller independent operators.
Ed’s expertise includes the evaluation of reserves and resources, portfolio evaluation, risk analysis and strategic analysis and transaction advisory support, across exploration, development and production activities.
Ed serves as an honorary teaching fellow in portfolio evaluation at Aberdeen University and visiting lecturer at Imperial College London. He holds a PhD in geophysics from Cambridge University and a BSc in geology and geophysics from Durham University, UK.
