RPS has been advising on the redevelopment of Greenwich Peninsula since 2005. At the end of 2015 outline planning consent was granted for a landmark development which will provide 13,000 new homes and create 12,000 new jobs. This comprehensive mixed-use redevelopment includes residential units, retail floor space, hotels, offices, education and health care facilities, a film and media hub, visitor attractions, car parking, cycle parking, community facilities, a new transport hub, jetty terminal and running track and a wide range of public realm and open space.
RPS has been retained by Knight Dragon to undertake a variety of environmental and planning work over the past 10 years, for both outline and reserved matters applications including the Peninsula Masterplan, Greenwich Cable Car Area Masterplan (CCAM) and individual development plots. As part of this work we have managed and produced two full Environmental Statements and numerous Environmental Compliance Reports as well as providing technical environmental assessment services.
RPS provided services in support of reserved matters applications for four plots to the south of the Peninsula, within the Lower Brickfields area, which will provide approximately 1,200 units of mixed tenure accommodation.
RPS is currently working with KDDL on their Greenwich Peninsula Place scheme, which proposes to build out two further plots of the masterplan.
