The Parramatta North Urban Transformation (PNUT) project will revitalise, conserve and activate this significant 100 hectare precinct in Western Sydney. The precinct contains some significant heritage buildings and curtilage, including Australia's first farming site established in 1788. RPS is providing survey services for 39 buildings and structures of heritage significance in the precinct.
The survey deliverables include measured floor plans and exterior elevations for each building. RPS is using a combination of traditional survey methods as well as deploying a state of the art Imaging Rover. This is an integrated camera system that precisely captures 360-degree digital panoramas to allow the post generation of survey and mapping accuracy positions from the captured images. RPS’ survey information will help UrbanGrowth NSW and its design team in their assessments to conserve a number of buildings of heritage significance as part of the urban regeneration program.
