Following the recent announcement of RPS' half yearly (H1) results to the London Stock Exchange, one of the firm’s largest Australian teams has made the move to a new, custom-designed office space in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.
Local highlights from the interim results include strong fee growth in project management across Australia and Asia Pacific (AAP) backed by strong performance from RPS’ work with major clients in the Defence and Government Services sector.
Chief Executive for Australia Asia Pacific, Ross Thompson said the H1 results and recent relocation of RPS' Brisbane team were the result of a renewed focus on service integration, knowledge-sharing and collaboration across the business.
“The first half of 2018 has been a time of significant, yet very positive changes – both here in Australia Asia Pacific and internationally,” he said.
“We’ve been working hard to reinforce the connections between consultants who are geographically dispersed and whose expertise spans a wide variety of professional disciplines. We want to integrate this wealth of knowledge and experience across every project we work on, for every client, right across the globe.”
The new office in Brisbane is a particularly good example of RPS putting this client-centred collaboration philosophy into action, Mr Thompson added.
“In the past, we’ve had consultants and support staff distributed across four locations throughout the Brisbane CBD and Fortitude Valley. And while RPS is a strong team, physical separation naturally brings with it some barriers to information-sharing and cross-disciplinary interaction.
“The move has brought more than 200 of the consulting industry’s leading minds together in a proverbial ‘melting pot’ of development, infrastructure, project management and other specialist expertise,” he said.
“We’re excited to enhance the value we offer clients further by giving our people even more opportunities to work, learn and innovate together.”
