RPS has extensive experience of working on rural issues - underpinned by a full understanding of the planning system. Our services cover: access provision; agricultural land classification; agricultural impact assessments; farm diversification; nature conservation, planning applications and appeals; rural development programme and woodland grant schemes; whole farm planning; and woodland planning and management. RPS has recently published a public report on monitoring information on agri-environment schemes in England over the past 10 years.The report, commissioned for Defra, will help guide the government’s thinking on the way forward with agri- environment schemes.These schemes are designed to encourage the development of environmentally sensitive farming methods and reward good stewardship. In The Netherlands we conduct agricultural land-use assessments related to the route planning and project management of gas pipelines.
