In the UK RPS has over 25 years experience in contaminated land. Part IIA of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and associated government legislation were designed to promote the regeneration of brownfield sites. This has made contaminated land a central consideration in the property market. RPS expertise in the assessment of contaminated land has seen the company deliver commercially focused solutions to all parties in this sector from local authority Part IIA implementation through to robust quantitative risk assessments providing developers significant cost savings in remediation costs and enhanced profit margins. RPS has extensive experience in remediation from the commercial and technical perspectives. In The Netherlands RPS assists the government and the private sector with advice on site inspections, soil investigation and decontamination and undertakes projects from initial survey and analysis to advice and guidance with decontamination if necessary.
