RPS is ideally suited to advising on New Venture of exploration or development assets. RPS geoscientists are experienced at regional and basin scales to quantify the exploration potential of particular areas. This is complemented by detailed reservoir-scale geoscience and reservoir engineering skills to assess the volume uncertainty and risk in prospects or fields. Our petroleum engineers and production technologists can evaluate a proposed development and, allied with our cost estimators and economists, the economic viability of a potential venture. Depending on client requirements, evaluations can involve critical, in-depth, field analysis and valuation for a farm-in, acquisition, or might simply be a quick screening assessment. In some projects we work fully independently, using an integrated RPS team, for other projects we can give specialist support to our clients' own technical staff.
