RPS was awarded 'Largest
Midland Architect' in the Architects Journal's AJ100 Awards held by Emap
at the Savoy hotel in The Strand on 23rd May 2007. Graham Cox and
Peter Dowen attended to accept the award. |
Graham Cox, Chief Executive of RPS Planning and Development in the UK, said that our dramatic rise in all the AJ100 rankings this year was as gratifying as the award received: "Everyone now appreciates that RPS' design business has grown considerably in the last year, particularly with the acquisition of Burks Green, and that our clients extend well beyond the midlands. Our rankings in the recent Building Design '2007 World Architecture 100' puts RPS as 1st equal market leader in the UK and 4th leading company for industrial architecture in the world, in the same category".
The editor of the AJ100 commented: "RPS .is ranked 7th in the UK and 36th overall in Europe's 500, the independent annual index of high-growth enterprises. The year saw the acquisition of industrial specialist Burks Green & Partners for £21.2M. RPS now runs a small Warsaw operation, providing the Oxford-based firm with a foothold in Poland."
