Fournier Laboratories Ireland Limited
Fournier Laboratories Ireland is a French pharmaceutical manufacturing company who operate a formulation and tableting plant at their site in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork. PENTA, a cholesterol-reducing drug is manufactured into tablet format at the facility.
In June 2005, RPS were engaged to undertake the project management, construction management and detailed engineering of a new 2000m2 2-storey expansion of the facility to incorporate a new tableting line with a project capital value of €25 million.
The building ground floor consists of cleanrooms, where production will occur. All utility plant and process equipment skids are located in the first floor plantroom with service distribution in an interstitial space above the cleanroom. Expansion of the site’s electrical power distribution and steam generation capacity are also being undertaken by RPS.
