EPA National Groundwater Monitoring
A total of 222 groundwater supplied monitoring points are sampled each month by two RPS Earth Scientists across all River Basin Districts in line with EPA and RPS sampling protocol. All 222 samples are analysed at a UKAS accredited laboratory, Alcontrol Laboratory, Dublin for basic chemistry and coliform bacteria. Additional pesticide analysis is conducted on 142 of the 222 samples.
The project requires significant experience in project management and logistics planning. MapInfo Route Finder has been used to support the sample collection teams. The Route Finder is a GIS application for MapInfo that solves complex routing related tasks quickly and easily, such as driving directions, travel time optimisation, drive-time polygons/isochrones, distance matrices, check of topology, street networks etc.
